Welcome to the website of Ohio-based aviation artist, writer and photographer, Ron Kaplan, founder of Warbird Aviation Art.
Throughout his career, Ron has sought to preserve the visual record of our military aviation heroes as a way to share their stories with current and future generations.
He is grateful that his work has offered him opportunities to know and work with many such legends and icons of aviation such as Joe Foss, Paul Tibbets, Robin Olds, Bob Hoover, Tex Hill, and dozens more. Through the limited edition aluminum panels that Ron has invited these pilots to autograph before adding authentic hand-painted nose-art or insignia, he has amassed a historic gallery of heroes and their heraldry that enables collectors to own a colorful and truly rare piece of aviation history. Ron’s originals, commissioned works, and now exclusive items featuring reproductions of his artwork offered among these pages are equally coveted by patrons, nationwide.

These exclusive special edition sets of four stoneware coasters feature authentic WWII unit insignia derived from the original paintings of acclaimed aviation artist, Ron Kaplan. Other themed sets feature Kaplan’s unique warbird photography.
Each set of colorfast coasters includes a wood holder and arrives packaged in a clear mylar box. The protective cork backing of each coaster is stamped with its edition title. Collect them all!
